Clinic coming in September, 2010
Brett Moss is pleased to
announce that Roger Gascoigne, a British Certified CPSA Coach and
member of the Institute of Clay Shooting Instructors will offer a
free clinic at Hidden Valley for women and kids who want to try clay
shooting - here are the details
Please
call 352-267-3143 to make a reservation. We only take 20 shooters in
each clinic. The clinic is in two parts,

a discussion of
safety and checking of eye dominance and finding a gun to fit
each shooter – this lasts about 45 minutes, then
-
we move over to
the for the practical part of breaking clays and this will take
us to about 3:30 PM
We do not take
block reservations. Each attendee has to make their own reservation,
unless it is a mom reserving for herself and her children. We find
that block reservations also cancel en bloc and so lock out others
who would have attended.
“Kids” are under
21. It is a totally free clinic, free coaching from a British
Certified Shooting coach, free ammo, free clays, free gun rental,
free eye and ear protection and a free copy of the magazine Sporting
Clays are all included.
We need to stress a couple of points.
1. Youngsters need to weigh at least 80 lbs to be able to handle a
shotgun, this
is more important that their age. If your child is not 80 lbs or
more please do
not sign them up for the clinic, because when they find they cannot
manage the
gun, they are very disappointed. They may be used to handling a
rifle, but the
muscles needed to track clays across the sky are more than that
needed to hold a
rifle still. We reserve the right to refuse children we deem too
small to have a
successful experience.
2. Also, this is a clinic for Beginners if you have shot clays more
than a
couple of times, then this clinic will be too basic for you. Also
you would be
unfairly taking a slot allocated for true beginners.
